Two Individuals Formally Indicted with Jail Killing of Former Lostprophets Frontman Ian Watkins

Two individuals now face murder charges in the wake of the incarceration fatality of ex-Lostprophets frontman and found guilty of child sex crimes Ian Watkins.

Samuel Dodsworth, 43, and Rashid Gedel, 25 now face murder accusations and will appear before Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, as stated by law enforcement officials.

Watkins, 48, was serving a 29-year sentence at HMP Wakefield, with a further six years to be served on licence, after pleading guilty to multiple sexual crimes among them the tried rape of a very young child.

Watkins was arrested after the execution of a narcotics search warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a substantial collection of electronic devices including computers, phones and drives were confiscated.
